The house built in 1910 is spacious with modern conveniences,  many windows, an open balcony and a beautiful view of the St. Francis river.  Stay warm by the wood stove in the winter and enjoy BBQ's or open fire pit in the fall.  Fish, canoe or kayak the river with friends in the summer.  Enjoy fresh farm produce and delicious meals together at harvest time!  Our bird life is amazing, a recognized birding location by provincial authorities. We also recognize and deeply value the historical roots to the land originally inhabited by the Abenaki people.

One guest described her stay as, "I was interested in talking (and learning) about farming and the staff were always very present and welcoming.  I felt like a valued guest."

Life at the Farmhouse community involves living on an active urban farm.  Since 1910, the farm and farmhouse has been dedicated to farm research and housing people who love to take care of the soil, plants and animals.  We are a learning community, exploring life on a farm. We love the diversity of people who feel drawn to join the community and grow together.  Our highly dedicated volunteers not only produce amazing food, but deep relationships build on trust, generosity and mutual encouragement.   Our vision is that people will live and grow in their farming life experience so that one day they can produce their own gardens and farms based on sustainable and regenerative farming practices.

Come and join us!
